2003 The client, owner of a steel fabricating business, wanted a much larger home to replace the existing house which had been badly damaged by a wild fire. The new design was inspired by the barns of Plumas County, California. It is anchored by several exposed steel beam moment frames, including a three story frame that spans the central core of the home.
