2004 A classic single level Post & Beam structure originally designed by Cal Straub of the storied Pasadena architectural firm Buff, Straub and Hensman in 1959, this home is sited on a steeply sloping downhill lot with stunning views of three mountain ranges - the San Gabriel's, San Bernardino's, and San Jacinto's.

In perfect harmony with the 10' - 8" x 12' grid, three bedrooms and a full bath in twelve hundred square feet were seamlessly transformed into a master suite, a guest suite, and powder room. Hanging cabinets separating the kitchen from the living room/dining room were removed to open up the entire space, and counter & cabinet space were increased without altering the floor plan.

All infra-structure was replaced, and all finish surfaces including plumbing & lighting fixtures, cabinets & counter-tops, and brazilian cherry plank flooring are new.

This home was recently placed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of the first Modernist buildings in the nation to be so honored.
